Join us for a gentle, community-centered Autumnal Equinox walk and outdoor service in the redwoods on Wednesday, September 23 at 12:30pm. We’ll meet at the parking lot at the end of the road at Canyon Meadow Staging Area in Redwood Regional Park (Oakland, CA) and walk together along the flat, paved Stream Trail—a scenic ½-mile, 15-minute walk—to the Old Church Picnic Area, the former site of the Church of the Wildwood. Seating will be available during the service. Our gathering will open with a Prayer to the Seven Directions and will be a co-created ritual: bring a portable instrument and a song, or a short reading or poem fitting for the solstice/equinox if you’d like to share. There will also be time for intercessions, thanksgivings, and silent meditation. All are welcome.
