The Purpose of the Church: Make Disciples (Matt:28:19)
† The Church exists to create an environment where people can hear Jesus' gracious, gentle call and decide for themselves how to respond.
† If they wish to commit to following Him, the community does all in its power to help them on their way.
† At All Saints, our concern for them does not depend upon the choice they make.
† We are willing to accept - and wrestle with - Jesus' call to make new Christians, finding ways to do so that are authentic to our understanding of God, Jesus and Christian community.
Episcopal Version: We exist to serve our neighbors in the Name of Jesus Christ and warmly invite them to join us on the Christian adventure.
Our Personal and Congregational Tasks
† We carry the message of God's love in Jesus Christ - we share our Good news with everyone around us!
† We meet the real human needs in our community.
† We hold up the institutional injustice of our day to the light of the Gospel.
