Godly Play
Many thanks to those of you who have generously contributed to the purchase of Godly Play equipment and materials. We have already received $470.00 in donations for specific materials and general supplies! We will continue to display Godly Play samples over the next few weeks and will be glad to explain the program to you more fully after services on Sundays.
There is a wall chart in the Parish Hall, which lists all the ways you could support this project financially. Godly Play materials are beautifully designed and constructed. They last for years and make wonderful memorials or gifts in honor of a person or event. Prices range from $1.00 to $170.00. There will be a permanent chart hanging in the classrooms to honor all gifts to Godly Play.
The current nursery, located on the ground floor, will become the classroom for younger children, approximately 6 months through 7 years. There will still be space and equipment set aside in that room for infants and toddlers too young to actually be a part of a Godly Play circle. However, by allowing children of different ages and levels of maturity to be together, we will continue to support the intergenerational "family" fell that has been important to our church school for the last several years.
