Education for Ministry (EFM)

Education for Ministry is a small group who meets for 9 months of the year to discuss readings for the week and reflect theologically on real life issues or situations. EFM members commit to 1 year at a time, up to 4 years. The study content includes Hebrew Scripture/Old Testament, Christian Scripture/New Testament, Church History and Theology. The focus is on preparing for lay ministries.

The EFM group meets weekly to share worship, fellowship, study and reflection. The group has grown tremendously and frequently rejoices at the connections, which are being built between Sunday worship and everyday life and ministry. Faith is growing through knowledge, prayer and reflection.

A Personal Note From Amma Linda

As the EFM mentor, it is my privilege to facilitate this group of motivated people and see the growth in their journey of faith. The personal rewards for me are the moments of “aha!“ associated with growth, and the group shared experience of Theological Reflections (“TRs”) and what difference it made in their everyday lives.
