All Saints Wellness Center’s mission is to nurture healing and wholeness of mind, body, and spirit. To achieve this mission, we have partnered with practitioners in our community to offer various modalities to support you in your mental, spiritual, and personal wellness. All Saints Wellness Center (911 Dowling Blvd, San Leandro) is now offering an Extra Gentle Yoga Class starting Monday, August 12, at 10am. Just show up; bring a mat if you have one. The donation per class is $15 per student.

Extra Gentle Yoga is especially tailored to include people of all abilities and body types— including elders, those with mobility issues, those with hip/knee replacements, pregnant women, and pretty much anyone wanting to maintain health and de-stress. With many years of experience teaching at Kaiser Permanente hospitals, Anandi teaches the whole person and is a master at accommodating all who attend her classes.

Massage Room adjacent to Wicker Room (Library)

All Saints parishioner Tita Deacon (10:15am service-goer) is a graduate of the National Holistic Institute and a licensed massage therapist (CAMTC #76460). As a wellness offering through the church, she will be offering massage therapy for parishioners on Mondays and Fridays from 2-6pm and Wednesdays from 3-7pm. Massage options, all clothed, include:

$60 for 60 minutes
$90 for 90 minutes. 
This may include Thai techniques, energy work, or other modalities as appropriate

Specialized massage such as trigger points or extended deep tissue work
$90 for 60 minutes

Fireside Room

Yoga for EveryBODY offers yoga sessions on Wednesday evenings from 7:00-8:15pm for everyone interested in exploring traditional practices of hatha yoga. All ages are welcome! Yoga for EveryBody is not about touching your toes; does not require you to twist your body into a pretzel; guarantees no quick fix for physical ailments; and requires no previous experience or specialized muscle developments. Dr. Dennis Chowenhill is a certified RYT200 Yoga Instructor through Yoga Alliance and specializes in tailoring his class to the uniqueness of every student. Suggested donation: $15 per person, but nobody turned away. Classes are drop-in, join anytime, no long-term commitment required.

Qigong – 2nd Thursdays, 10-11:30am

Find out why qigong (“chi gong”) is a great way to relieve stress, improve flexibility and balance, promote healing, reduce pain, strengthen the immune system, and enhance everyday living. No prior experience is necessary. Can be done from a seated or standing position.

Gentle Exercise for Healthy Aging – 4th Thursdays, 10-11am

This gentle exercise class helps those recovering from life’s little mishaps, a long-term illness, or those wanting to improve strength, balance or mobility slowly, in self-paced ways. Join this once-a-month sample class to see what a weekly practice might feel like. Holiday Schedule: Nov 21 & Dec 19.

Certified Dayan Qigong instructor, Cynthia Eaton has been teaching within the Kaiser Permanente system, working with Pain Clinic patients and people with limited mobility since 1999. She also teaches Mindfulness Meditation and a variety of other mind/body wellness courses at several Bay Area Kaiser Permanente Medical Centers (Kaiser Oakland, Hayward, San Leandro, and Union City), and at the Castro Valley Adult School, and Hayward Senior Center.

The suggested donation for Cynthia’s classes is $5-10 per person. No donation required to attend. All donations will support the work of the Wellness Center and All Saints Episcopal Church.


In collaboration with the Hesed Community, All Saints Wellness Center offers weekly Christian Meditation. Hesed Community is based upon Benedictine spirituality and their mission is the teaching and practice of Christian Meditation as taught by John Main, OSB.

Hesed was founded in Oakland in 1981 by Sr. Barbara Hazzard and is a board run non-profit organization. Long-time All Saints parishioner Donna Lack serves as Chairwoman of Hesed and will be leading most of these meditation sessions. Hesed leads meditation groups throughout the Bay Area and facilitates regular Christian Days of Meditation at San Damiano Retreat Center, Danville. They have an active Oblate Program in the study of the Rule of St. Benedict and are affilliated with the World Community of Christian Meditation (WCCM), Spiritual Center and Residence, Bonnevaux, France. There is no cost for this offering.

Meet in Parking lot

Starting August 11, All Saints parishioner Allie Fralick will lead a weekly Walking Group on Sunday mornings. Gather at All Saints at 7am; the walk with begin at 7:15am SHARP and last approximately 30 minutes. All are welcome to attend; no cost.
